The Results Are In!

After hours of intense competition, the dust has settled over the Inaugural European Megiddo tournament and a new champion stands alone.  A big congratulations goes out to Xavier Noé i Nogueiras of Catalonia, who emerged victorious as the European Megiddo Champion.  He now holds a rating of 2190, which qualifies him as an Expert level player.

Twelve players were in attendance at the tournament, hailing from such nations as Basque Country, Spain and Catalonia.  Each played a series of three matches after which their scores were calculated using the newly developed Tesh rating system.  The new system is similar to the ELO system commonly used for chess competitions.  It allows for even new players to begin competing and building their ranking.
